Queen of Pentacles tarot card

The Card

A queen sits on a carved throne in an outdoor garden. Roses and vines frame her. She cradles a large pentacle with both hands and looks at it with tender focus. A rabbit leaps in the lower right corner. She is completely at ease in the material world.

Symbolism

The rabbit represents fertility and earthly abundance. Roses mark her as Venus in her earthly aspect. The outdoor throne shows she is at home in nature, not removed from it. Cradling the pentacle as though it were a child: material care is care.

Upright

The provider. A queen sits on an ornate outdoor throne, cradling a large pentacle in her lap and gazing at it warmly. She is surrounded by natural abundance. This is the archetype of practical generosity — someone who creates material security and shares it freely.

Reversed

Financial insecurity, neglect of home or family, overwork, smothering through material means.
